Finding a reliable sports hall cooling solution was essential for SCEGGS Darlinghurst, where excessive heat buildup in the multipurpose basketball hall created an uncomfortable environment for students and event attendees. With a concrete ceiling and tennis courts directly above, heat transfer caused persistent overheating, making traditional blade fans an impractical choice due to concerns over durability and aesthetics. Seeking an efficient and impact-resistant alternative, the school implemented Airius Model 60 destratification fans, which provided superior air circulation, cost savings, and enhanced thermal comfort, transforming the space into a more enjoyable and functional facility year-round.
The SCEGGS Darlinghurst multipurpose basketball hall faced significant overheating issues.
