Cleaner, Fresher Air for Doggy Daycare and Boarding Facilities
Doggy daycare and boarding facilities can face persistent air-quality challenges from pet dander, hair, odors, moisture, and high animal occupancy. The Airius PureAir Series combines effective air circulation with Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization technology to help treat airborne particles and neutralize odors while continuously distributing cleaner air throughout playrooms, boarding areas, grooming spaces, and other occupied areas.
The Challenge
Doggy daycare and boarding facilities can face persistent indoor air-quality challenges. High animal occupancy, shedding, dander, odors, moisture, and continuous activity can place added demands on ventilation and filtration systems.
In enclosed playrooms, kennels, grooming areas, and overnight boarding spaces, airborne particles and odors can build up quickly, especially in facilities that cannot rely heavily on outside-air ventilation throughout the year.
The Airius Solution
PureAir Series
The Airius PureAir Series combines Airius air-circulation technology with Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization, or NPBI™, to continuously circulate and treat indoor air.
The PureAir system generates positive and negative ions that attach to airborne particles, helping make them easier for existing filtration systems to capture. According to Airius, the technology can also help neutralize odors and address certain airborne contaminants while distributing treated air directly throughout the occupied space without requiring additional ductwork.
EC models can also be integrated with BACnet, the Airius DeltaT system, PearLink Wi-Fi controls, or another 0–10V control source, allowing airflow to be adjusted for different areas or operating conditions.
For daycare and boarding facilities, this combination of air circulation and air treatment could help address several common indoor-environment concerns at the same time.
Potential Results
PureAir could help reduce airborne particles such as pet dander and dust, help neutralize persistent animal-related odors, improve overall air circulation, and complement existing HVAC filtration.
Because the ionization technology is incorporated directly into the fan, treated air is delivered into the room rather than relying solely on ions traveling through an HVAC duct system.
Indoor Air Quality Doesn’t Have to Be ‘Ruff’
PureAir could be particularly useful in indoor play areas, boarding rooms, kennel spaces, reception areas, grooming areas, staff spaces, and other enclosed areas where animals and people spend extended periods of time.
Every boarding and daycare facility has different occupancy levels, layouts, ventilation systems, ceiling heights, and air-quality concerns. Airius PureAir systems can be selected and positioned around those conditions to provide continuous circulation and supplemental air treatment where it is needed most.
